Yesterday was the first day of classes for the second summer session. In the morning, I had Intermediate Macroeconomics and in the evening I had International Economics.
I don't like Macro as a subject regardless, so this class will be boring, but International econ was a little more interesting. Maybe I can sink my teeth into it...
Other than that, yesterday was quite uneventful. Most of the day was spent unpacking, which was finally finished in the afternoon. Our room looks great, even though basically all of my decorations are still in mystery boxes in storage. I was able to cover a lot of my wall space with things I collected from Salzburg and other places; postcards, posters, watercolors, you name it.
Today is a hot one and I'm reluctant to venture outside again, however, I must buy a few dish towels and groceries. I haven't done any grocery shopping yet, so our appartment has been food-less for a couple of days. But unlike Salzburg, New York stays open until 11:00 PM and I was able to find a late dinner. And Starbucks has saved my mornings.
Trying to upload pictures onto the blog, but it isn't working. I'll keep trying.

I'm going to be better at posting things...
It has been too long since I last posted our journeys of Europe. That's my fault--but we were doing so much, I hardly had any time! I promise to post some pictures from salzburg, prague, etc.
Kristin and I are finally back in New York after 12 hours of travelling. We woke up at 5 AM Salzburg time (that's 11 PM in New York), and jumped on a bus to the airport. After shuffling items to get bags under the 21kg point, we checked in and boarded our tiny, but crowded plane. Sad news: no fluffy muffin. My last view of Salzburg was flying in a tiny steel bird.
We landed in Vienna 30 minutes later, went through customs, bought some chocolate, and entered our glass enclosed gate. An hour later, we boarded our Austrian Airlines plane set for New York JFK.
Although it was about an 8 hour flight, it wasn't that bad. But here's the trippy part--we left Vienna at 11:00 AM, and got into JFK at 2:00. The time change was not a happy one. But coming back isn't nearly as jarring as going there.
Cleared customs again, got all of our bags intact, and caught a cab to Broome St. Dumped our stuff in our room--where the air conditioner is broken--and proceeded to move our things out of storage. At this point, we weren't walking zombies, but we were pretty tired. After we finished moving, we both decided that the only thing appetizing was a burger and fries. Thus we went to Soup n Burger on Broadway and it was delicious...
Today I start classes. 9:00-10:30 Intermediate Macroeconomics. 6:00-8:10 International Economics. Yay. Will finish unpacking, and will buy groceries. Will go up to Strand and buy a cheap cookbook--my project for this summer is to learn how to cook.
More posts in the future. I promise.
