I've been working on putting together an informal showing at Tisch since December. Fortunately, I've been able to collaborate with the wonderful Sydney Skybetter for this project. Sydney has graciously offered Tisch dance choreographers 8 slots in the DanceNow Raw festival at Tisch on April 10th. This is a wonderful opportunity for choreographers to create new work within an informal environment.
"The Raw Festival studio series was designed to promote emerging choreographic voices and artists previously unseen by the Producers of DanceNOW[NYC]. While serving as a means to identify works for the Fall Festival at the Dance Theater Workshop, this program provides valuable exposure for artists, as well as access to a rich peer network, subsidized photographers, videographers, and producers from other dance presenters in New York City."
